The Carreta Temple of SarchÃ: A Tribute to Costa Rican Art and Tradition
The Carreta Temple of Sarchà has been renovated to become a space that celebrates the cultural richness of Costa Rica. The new, colorful stained glass windows highlight the tradition of boyeo and carreta painting, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This transformation completes the enhancement of a place that now proudly frames the world’s largest oxcart, located in SarchÃ’s central park, symbolizing art, creativity, and Costa Rican identity.Â
