The airports of the future will be defined not only by their infrastructure or technology, but also by their ability to create opportunities and build lasting connections with the communities around them. This vision guided Morpho Travel Experience participation in the Airport Commercial Forum 2026, held in Mexico City, as part of the panel Airports and Communities: Building Bonds, Creating Value,” alongside Cassie Schoutens, Corporate Communications Officer at Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten.

Morpho was represented by Adriana Echandi, CEO of Morpho Travel Experience, who shared how this vision comes to life through initiatives such as CLA, the Latin American Artisans Community. The program connects local talent with millions of travelers across our network and has enabled the sale of more than 1.7 million handcrafted products, creating opportunities for communities while preserving the cultural identity of each destination. This same purpose also guides projects developed alongside Lima Airport, Santiago Airport, the Municipality of Pudahuel, and AERIS Holding Costa Rica, among other partners across the region.

Collaboration among airports, companies, local governments, and communities is essential to creating sustainable value within the airport environment. Events such as the Airport Commercial Forum 2026 provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and move toward an industry that is more closely connected to its surroundings. We thank ACI-LAC for fostering this regional dialogue and opening new opportunities for collaboration.
